Our Brotherhood
A major part of our Fraternity is fostering brotherhood and a spirit of community. One way we do this is by having a number of events for just the Brothers. Below are some of our larger ones.
Formal & Semi-Formal
Formal is our largest brotherhood event of the year, and is celebrated in the spring semester. This is an opportunity for alumni to come back and catch up with actives and other alumni. The chapter will rent out a fancy venue for dinner and a banquet of sorts. Formal is a chance to reflect on the year and awards such as “Brother of the Year”, “Officer of the Year”, and the “Outstanding New Member Award” are given out.
Retreat
Each year in the early fall, Retreat is a chance for brothers of the chapter to come closer together and forget about their troubles for a weekend. For this weekend, members of the chapter will rent out a camping grounds and get away from the outside world. The main purpose of Retreat is team building exercising and brotherly bonding. This enables members to feel more connected, in addition to being able to reset and focus on the semester ahead of them.
